unless there is some cunning pretty defence i can only see wins for white after c7 kf8 leads to forced mate and nd4 c8=q+ qf8 qxq and a7 looks winning
i just saw another pretty line c7 nxe5 c8=q+ qf8+ qxf8 kxf8 a7 nf7+ only move to stop queening kh7 re8 forced again to stop queening then ng6 mate haha poor black that would suck for black in a real game lol
c7 wins
h
c7
Tricky chess tactic is tricky! Haha.
I think white should play 1.a7. Then I guess black is forced to move his knight out of the way to free his queen with 1…Nxe5 2.a8(Q)+ Qf8 3.Qxf8+ Kxf8 4.c7 Nf7+ 5.Nxf7 Re6+(If Kxf7, then c8(Q).)6.Kxg5 Rc6. Here, I thought of 7.Nd8 threatening the rook. If 7…Rxc7 then 8.Ne6+ forks the king and rook. But after the king moves, say 8…Kd7 9.Nxc7 c3, White’s knight doesn’t have enough time to stop blacks passed pawn. So, I’m not sure what the result would be. Haha.
Alas, my long explanation is wrong. Haha. Oh well.
I like the 1.a7 Nxe 2.a8=Q+ Qf8 3.Qxf8+ Kxf8 4.c7 Nf7+ 5.Nxf7 Re8
6.Nd6 Ra8 7.Nxc4 the rook could move back to c8 but whites king is free to capture the doubled g pawns but the threat is blacks c pawn and after black captures the c7 pawn it looks like it comes down to a rook vs.King and Knight the ending unclear
another variation could be..
1.a7 Nxe5 2.a8=Q+ Qf8+ 3.Qxf8+ Kxf7 4.c7 Nf7+ 5.Nxf7 Re8 6.Nd6 c3 7Nxe8 c2 9.c8=Q c1=Q 10.Ng7 white seems to stand better
that should be 3.Qxf8 Kxf8 sorry about the typo
