there are just a very few people that are really good for chess in the usa on a national basis. AF4C is certainly trying hard to run a great US Championship and they do a wonderful job. Susan Polgar does a great job of promoting chess with young people. She also has been a super suporter of women’s chess all over the world. I suggest everyone strongly support both of these people 100%. no more anonymous remarks are needed from scared people who will not post their name.

ZSUZSA POLGAR (born Apr-19-1969) Hungary (citizen of United States of America) Zsuzsa (Susan) Polgar was born April 19, 1969, in Budapest, Hungary, and along with her two younger sisters, Judit Polgar and Zsofia Polgar, she was coached chess by her father, Laszlo Polgar. By 1984 she became the top-rated woman chess player in the world. Later that year, FIDE, in a controversial decision, granted 100 rating points to every female player except Zsuzsa. In 1991, Susan became the first woman player to ever achieve the men’s grandmaster title, and later that year, her sister Judit Polgar earned the title as well. In 1996, Susan won the Women’s World Championship, but refused to defend her title in 1999 against Xie Jun, because she believed the conditions were unfair. In 2004 she competed in the 36th Chess Olympiad, winning gold medals for points and for the highest performance rating. In total, she has won ten Olympiad medals during her career, and has never lost a single game in any Olympiad. Her highest-ever FIDE rating (2577) was achieved on the January 2005 list. This list also returned her to her position as the number one active female player in the world. Susan currently resides in New York City, where she runs the Polgar Chess Center (http://www.polgarchess.com). She is one of the best-selling chess authors worldwide, and she speaks seven languages fluently.

Think its time to turn word verification on in this blog.
Yes turn “Word Verification” on and stop deleting innocent messages.
Standing in front of an Excalibur, in your furcoat, will arise a few ironic remarks. So what? That’s life, you know.
“So what?” What ya mean so what?? This blog gon’na prove stupid dumbos relate to chess.
Not sure what to blog about. Lets try this. Are you happy in the US? Is it safer to live, compared to Hungary?
Susan, I want to look at one of your games. Can you guide me to one, please?
I see you wrote your occupation – chess professional!? Does such an occupation really exist in the US?
Can you update us on your activities in promoting chess among children? How many children have joined your centers? What is their average age?
When did you decide to help our children take up this wonderful game? Was it something you dreamed of as a young girl, too?
Hey, funny, I am still there.
I bet Susan’s censor had a rough weekend and took a day off.
WOW I am jealous now. Oh I want a ride. wow. that is so nice.
no engine can be too big for an Excalibur.

Susan, I hope that you don’t wear fur.
I don’t own a fur coat. I think wool is warmer 🙂
And to answer an above post, we have about 100 children at my chess center (4 and up) and around 50 adults.
