LOL, Vallejo wins a tournament, but Topalov gets top billing in the headline. These day it’s as though the whole world is conspiring to make Topalov look bad.
Reminds me of that fake “Onion” headline about the 1960 Election: “Joesph Kennedy’s Son Beats Nixon!”, with a big picture of Joe on the front page, but no picture of JFK.
How embarrassing. Paco Vallejo, no. 34 in the world, who beat Topalov at Linares, is known as “Topalov’s second.”

Somebody seems to have missed the point…
Susan, no kidding, and no offense, but this really is insulting to Vallejo. I know you didn’t intend it that way, and just wanted to get Topalov’s name into the news, but look at this. Paco wins a tournament, and his name doesn’t even appear in the headline. Topalov didn’t play in the tournament, and he’s got top billing.
If Russia wins the next Olympiad, but Kramnik doesn’t play, are you going to write “Kramnik’s Country Wins Olympiad”?

And some anonymous has got ready to bad-mouth Topalov and Susan here too.

This is why you have a reputation as a liar, lantonov. The point has been made very clearly, and repeatedly: Paco’s name doesn’t appear in the headline announcing his own victory, but someone else’s does.
It’s so simple it’s impossible for an honest person to misunderstand. As usual, you ignore the point and attack the person making it.
It’s also why you have a reputation as a fool. Do you really think misunderstanding this issue helps Topalov at all? Obviously it doesn’t.
