In the match of the Champions (World Champion vs. European Champion), Topalov defeated Nisipeanu by the score of 3-1, winning with the White pieces in game #2 and #4.
He has proven that San Luis was not a fluke by performing very well in a number of events since then as well as becoming the #1 player in the world a little more than a week ago! He has also been very active with his World Champion’s duties! In my mind, he is the undisputed World Chess Champion and a good ambassador for chess. Congratulations to Topalov!
