Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Not for a long.
Chuky gonna get him 🙂
Smug beard bastard, that Topa.
Topalov joins Ivanchuk, Morozevich and Carlsen in the 2780s chasing Anand 10 points above.
It’s very interesting. I remember when Peter Leko had been wunderkind. Everybody had admired him and had rooted for him.
Since the moment he grew up he has been hated by more and more chess fans because of his style.
I can never understand this.
Magnus is now a kind and everybody likes him, but sooner or later he will grow up too…
Before this tournament in connection with thefinal standings my prediction was:
1. Topalov
2. Carlsen
3. Ivancsuk
4. Anand
5-6. Aronjan and Radzsabov
Anand could be better, but he can’t show his best, because he is preparing against Kramnik.
Topalov is obviously the best.
Don’t count Carlsen out yet!
“Anand could be better, but he can’t show his best, because he is preparing against Kramnik.”
I don’t think this is the case. Anand just plays chess and doesn’t think much about stuff like that. It’s not in his character.
I still think Topalov should be the Champion, neither Anand nor Kramnik deserve the title. Lets face it Topalov is stronger, remember Kasparov’s last game against Topalov!, Carlsen is also good but this is not his time to shine.
