Veselin Topalov and Viktor Laznicka played a six-games match in Novoborská Corrida on 18-25th September at the Ajeto Restaurant in Novy Bor, Czech Republic.
Topalov won the first game, but Laznicka struck back in the second. The next game was drawn and then Topalov signed two more victories for the overall 4-2 score in his favour.
Another match was played between Ukrainian GM Oleg Romanishin and local IM Tadeáš Kriebel. After exchanging a pair of wins the match ended in a 3-3 tie.
