Topalov played another exciting game against Ivanchuk today. The game went back and forth and ended up in a draw with Rook and Pawn. Anand had excellent initiatives against Tiviakov but he was not able to convert. Therefore, he remains in second, half point behind Topalov. Kamsky won a very unusual game against Van Wely. Gata still has only one draw in 11 games!

Carlsen lost to the very strong Motylev and is now in a tie for second with Almasi, half point behind the man he just lost to.

There are two games left. Topalov will have to face Anand and Leko while Anand has to face Topalov and Gelfand. The pairings are in favor of Anand but he is half point behind. This will be a finish any organizer would dream of. Posted by Picasa
