Topalov played another exciting game against Ivanchuk today. The game went back and forth and ended up in a draw with Rook and Pawn. Anand had excellent initiatives against Tiviakov but he was not able to convert. Therefore, he remains in second, half point behind Topalov. Kamsky won a very unusual game against Van Wely. Gata still has only one draw in 11 games!
Carlsen lost to the very strong Motylev and is now in a tie for second with Almasi, half point behind the man he just lost to.
There are two games left. Topalov will have to face Anand and Leko while Anand has to face Topalov and Gelfand. The pairings are in favor of Anand but he is half point behind. This will be a finish any organizer would dream of.
what happens if there is a tie at the top in the end?

Susan, I believe that Anand is paired against Gelfand and Topolov against Leko in the last round. Also, Kamsky will be paired against Tiviakov.
If Anand does’t win against Topolov, then I believe that Topolov has the “easier” ( easy for me to say) pairing in the last round by the performances of Gelfand and Leko to this point in the tourney.
Anand should come out swinging, so-to-speak, tomorrow if he’s serious about winning the tourney. It would be great if this game lives up to its potential.
