NEW YORK, JULY 15, 2013 – Efexio, Inc. has created an innovative special effects marketplace and app with patent-pending technology that allows consumers to add high-quality computer generated imagery (CGI) like they see in Hollywood movies to their own videos and photos.

Today, it announced an exclusive “Tippett Creature Shop” within the Efexio marketplace featuring downloadable, quality animations created by the legendary Tippett Studio including dinosaurs, penguins, robots, dragons and monsters. A partnership between Tippett FX, LLC and visual technology group Pixelux Entertainment will supply and license the Hollywood-style animations.

The Efexio marketplace is accessed through an app that allows users to upload their own photos or video footage, choose an effect created by Hollywood special effects artists and easily create a fully rendered movie or photo that can be saved and shared on Instagram or shared immediately via Facebook, YouTube or email. The one-of-a-kind Efexio app allows users to rotate and adjust the scale of each effect, change the lighting and camera angle and make other adjustments by using a series of intuitive tools.

Reminisces Tippett Studio Founder and Special Effects Pioneer Phil Tippett whose resume includes the animated chessboard monsters in Star Wars and the lumbering AT-AT snow walkers in The Empire Strikes Back, “When I was a kid, I made movies using Marx playsets, mixing up all the characters to create my own worlds. Standard animations are priced between $0.99 and $1.99 and Pro versions, for users who wish to output at full HD resolution, between $4.99 and $9.99. Starting in July, Efexio will release a new free effect every month.
