Congratulations to Ellen and Evan, the first ever sisters to qualify for the Susan Polgar All-Star Chess Team!
In the chess world, there are three famous sisters: the Polgar sisters, the Kosintseva sisters, and the Muzychuk sisters. Do we expect to have famous “the Xiang sisters” here in the US?
The Xiang Sisters, from Houston, TX, naturally participate in many national – and even some international – scholastic events.
However it’s the Houston Chess Club which makes the city a training hub for many talented juniors.
It seems that only women and children are featured on this blog, however I’d like to thank life master Larry Englebretson who continues to share his knowledge and offer encouragement to all to visit his club.
The Houston Chess Club is very active and hosts about 10 USCF rated tournaments each and every month.
HCC, what are you talking about? Susan just talked about GM Kaidanov, Ashley and all her special people post have been men. Talk facts please.
