After Susan finished the general press conference for the organizer, she did 3 separate interviews for the Russian media. She also answered questions for the Spanish media.

Right after her press conferences, she attended the Anand – Gelfand press conference.

Here were some of her questions:

1. Vishy, many Indian fans from my blog would like to send you their best wishes. They are very proud of your accomplishments. Does this put more pressure on you or does that give you more energy.

His answer was basically he appreciates the support but he tries not to put any uneccessary pressure on himself.

2. Boris, did you expect to do this well or even better than this before the World Championship?

His answer was basically he only thinks about 1 game at the time and he fully focus on that.

3. Vishy, with your popularity in India, do you think that you have made a big difference for chess in your country?

Vishy said let’s talk about that at length after the event. He agrees to give Susan a special interview after the World Championship.

Susan also spoke to GM VanWely about Svidler – Kramnik game. I asked him if he feels more pressure when he plays or when he watch Kramnik as the role of a second. He said both have pluses and minuses. But he enjoys the relaxing time while Kramnik is playing because when Kramnik is resting, he has to be at work.

Susan asked him what was the new move and he said he believes it is move 18.Nd2.

Stay tune, more scoops to come soon.
