I do not see Topalov giving up the point he received for the forfeited game nor do I see Kramnik backing down.

I do not think this match will continue.
I am pretty upset with Topalov and his team. This is not fitting of a champion.
With Kirsan’s letter to Kramnik upholding the arbiter’s decision, this match is over. IMO, it was a really bad idea to continue the scheduled game today under these conditions. The deciding comittee should have postponed the game and spent the day talking to the players and get them to buy into their decision. Instead to issue their decision two hours before the game invited this disaster. Because Kirsan did not intervene to overturn the forfeit and let tensions cool down, I don’t see how the match could continue.

Chances they will continue are 1 to 10, IMHO. And definitely not tomorrow.
I whole heartily agree with the letter written by GM Yasser Seirawan to Kirsan regarding his assessment of the situation and possible compromises. If Kirsan is able to convey this same type of spirit and logic to the two teams, we might have a chance of the match continuing.

The match is over – so sad!
Today’s game should never have been started. The start should have been delayed for a day, Kirsan should have met directly with the two players and resolved the problem, and then it should have resumed, or then if no mutual agreement, been cancelled.
It’s time to ban humans from Championship Matches and allow only computer program championship matches. No poddy breaks needed then!
I believe that Kramnik will continue playing for getting the cospicuous money prize, but has lost the psychological edge that allowed him to lead the match. I expect him to lose tomorrow’s game and unless he will not recover the serenity I see the win of the match a very hard task, considering that now the head of the FIDE is openly hostile. I’d add that the issue has been badly managed by the Kramnik team that instead had to make their best to keep him away from the fuss and push him to play today’s game.

Kirsan should not have been absent during the WC. Why did he leave? His presence could have saved this situation. Instead, with his absence, he became part of the dilemma, and part of the blame. Obviously a psychological trick pulled by Topalov to force Kramnik to use the ladies WC during the WC.
If Kramnik agrees to play, Topalov’s team will launch yet another protest. They have already made demands that are unthinkable, such as demand the release to the journalists of videos of Kramnik’s time in his rest room. What on earth for? Other than upset Kramnik, what else can such demands amount to? It would be nice if Kramnik could laugh it off, but it’s too much to ask from anybody.
Of couse, it would be good if a compromise were reached, but with a stipulation that this dirt stops here and now. Otherwise we’ll have more and more of this despicable reality show. For the future, I think FIDE should consider barring managers from attending matches.

I dont know what to expect. In the end, however soon that may be, some one will not be happy. If the match continues, and Kramnik wins, Topalov fans will say that Kramnik continued to cheat. If Topalov wins, Kramnik fans will say it would have been diferent if Topalov didnt have that forfieted point. And if the match stops here, im going to pull my hair out. And I dont see why everyone is making a big deal about this. I do admit going to the bathroom like 40-50 times is odd, why get so mad? Why is Kramnik making such a big deal about this? Why is Topalov making such a big deal about this?
Part of the problem is that Kramnik is portraying the bathroom zone as if it were a football field by proclaiming he uses it for walking. If the bathroom is smaller than the restroom then his excuse is not only ludicrous but suspicious. Then there is the matter of him spending minutes at a time (at least 1 or 2) inside the bathroom “walking” (???).
It is hard to believe FIDE acted the way they did initially. By endorsing the Topolov complaint they implied agreement with its substance, ie: Kramnik was acting suspiciously and may have been cheating. What is Kramnik to do now? If he wins people will assume it was by cheating. If he loses it confirms the suspicion. The footnote will always be there. I would not blame Kramnik one bit for packing his bags and going home.

Does anybody believe that they will accept Game 5 to be replayed? Not me.
Kramnik’s medical condition forces him to do certain exercises plus the condition also gives him bloody diareah.
topalov’s team knows this. Kramnik does not wish to talk about it publicly.
He needs the privacy to play well.
the medical condition is such that the worst thing for him is to sit in a chair for long hours.
This fight is not about the 50 visits which is all baloney anyway.
this is all dirty filthy posturing by Topalov. and anyone who still supports him is foolish.
Topalov is an insulting pain in the ass – one has to visit toilet very often.
His score against Kramnik was something like -21 +9!!! No wonder he had to search for different ways of winning the match, on the board his chances were very little.
