TITLE holder, Harold Wanyama has vowed to fight on as the National Chess Championship enters the fifth round stage on Saturday and the last round on Sunday at hotel Africana.

Wanyama was not contented with last weekend’s results when he fell to Arthur Ssegwanyi and later suffered a draw against Simon Gonza in the third and fourth rounds respectively to earn himself 2.5 points in 11 position believes his still in contention for top position.

“I thought I was prepared in the first place but day two turned against me. There are still more games to go and I’m sure to spine the wheels around,” explained the Mulago Kings star.

But this has also not stopped the national junior champion Haruna Nsubuga from believing he is the 2011 champion in waiting.

“There has to be change in the air and it will be possible,” said Nsubuga.

The junior champion is leading the contest with 3.5 points in four encounters after he encountered a draw to other serious title contestant Rajab Kamoga who is in second position but with similar points.

With five games at hand for each player the leading bunch has also got Simon Gonza, Arthur Ssegwanyi, Samuel Musaga and Farouk Fauza tied with 3.5points each.
