This is the view of my hotel room in Corpus Christi at 3:30PM local time! Quite a contrast from the morning scene in New York! I am expecting about 300 young girls and boys for the big chess events (Susan Polgar National Open Championship for Girls and Susan Polgar National Chess Challenge for Boys) here this weekend!
The Susan Polgar Foundation offers more than $10,000 in chess prizes in addition to scholarships from Texas A&M, Texas Tech and UTB for qualified players! The goal of the Susan Polgar Foundation is to attract over 1,000 girls and boys next year with even more prizes and scholarships!
