The 6th annual Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls, the most prestigious all-girls national championship in the U.S., will officially commence later today. A record 60 players have qualified for this year’s event.
There will be daily updates with plenty of pictures right here as well as on www.PolgarGirls.blogspot.com. It will be an exciting week!

What happened to the Saturday Open Forum: are the conditions not right?
Good luck to all of the entrants, and may the best chess femme win! Thanks to Texas Tech, the Susan Polgar Foundation and Susan Polgar for this great event. I would personally like to see more events where the talents of female chessplayers are showcased.
