1.Qg7+ Bxg7

The presence of a black pawn on a2 once again signifies that white is ready to seal the victory. The immediate check 1.Qg7+ indeed forces mate.

No puzzle posted on Thursday, and the last one on Wednesday was a repeat. No wonder I was suffering from withdrawal symptoms !!

What is this is- Mate in 3 Week?
1.Qg7 and it is is over:
1. Qg7 Bg7
2. hg7 Kg8
3. Nh6#
check, check, checkmate
I was thinking of the immediate Qg7+ Bxg7 fxg7+ Kg8 Nf6+ but then Kf7 and I don’t see that white has anything.
Then what about attacking the badly placed queen and perhaps threats against the king.
Ne5 Rxe5 Bxe5 threatening mate which looks pretty solid no? The king moving doesn’t change anything and Bg7 blocking the discovery leads to mate.
Ne5 Qd4 Rd1 should win a rook.

Dear Susan:
I know you have a very diverse readership, that many followers of your blog are relative beginners and that some of the problems HAVE to be easy, but the percentage of really easy problems lately has been, in my opinion, excessive. But I will defer to your judgement. I am an avid follower of your blogspot, and very much appreciate being able to do so. Thanks.
Sincerely, Lucymarie.
