This is especially interesting given that out of 27 boards, Oklahoma outrated us on 15 of them, were roughly equal on 6 boards, and were only lower rated on the remaining 6 boards. Great job to the Texas team for redeeming themselves from last years loss!
Is Texas still in USA?
Don’t mess with Texas. Jackass will soon find out what Texas is all about.
USCF members do not like to play as part of a local team against another city/state (or so I am told). So why did this event occur?
It must be that these were not USCF rated games.
glad texas won! after the last couple of years oklahoma thought they were better because texas didnt send many strong players…. and thats only a taste of our top power! 🙂
Even more interesting is that the middle 9 players from texas won 12 out out of their 18 games, with the top and bottom 9 winning by smaller (2-3 points) margins. Goes to show you that every game counts, not just about who brings in more Masters.
