CHENNAI: “I used to play tennis when I was young. Now I really enjoy watching it. It was wonderful watching Somdev play yesterday,” said World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand on Centre Court at the SDAT Stadium here on Saturday.
Brought on court for a brief felicitation, Anand said Chennai had “special ties with tennis” because so many great players had originated from the city.

Anand plays tennis?
Anand should run against Garry for President of Russia. It should be a 10 round Swiss. Winner takes all.
There was an interesting match between Wolrld No 28. Cilic and an Indian, Devvaraman, who is ranked #200. Devvaraman played pretty well.
Perhaps he can lead a resurgence of tennis in India! Sania Mirza has been such a dissapointment.
