1. Rc6 seems to do the trick.
this threatens Qb6+
1….Qxc6
2.dxc6+ +-
rc6..mating net follows
Rc6 looks pretty convincing. It blocks the Queen and allows Qb6 with mate to follow.
1. Rc7+ Kxc7
2. Qb6+ Kc8
3. Qb8#
1. Rc7+ Ka8
2. Bb8
Rax6! +-
Rc6 dxc6
Qb6+ and mate follows.
1.Tc6! dc6 2.Db6+ Kc8 3.Dxa6+ Kd7 4.Db7+ etc.
apparently it is easy to overlook the queen on f6. Cutting it off with Rc6 is the obvious try
Rc6 ! cuts of the black Queen
Rc6 blocking the Queen from b6 seems to win!
1.Tc6! dc6 2.Db6+ Kc8 3.Dxa6+ Kd7 4.Db7+ etc.
How about,
1.Rc6…dc (if Qc6 then dc+ should amount to the same thing)
2.Qb6+…Kc1
3.Qa6+…Kd8 (if …Kd7 then Qb7+)
4.Bb6+…Ke7
5.Qb7+…Kd6
6.Qc6+…Ke7
7.Qc7 orRa7 mate
This game is getting too tough. When I was a boy, we would’ve given Rc6 (of course then, before the days of politically correct, effete euro-notation, it would have been “R-B6!!” back then,) two exclamation marks, for the sheer violence of the move. No one here gave it more than one. Tough bunch of folks!
