Black does not have to take the B, but lines like 1…Re8 2. Qd3 g6 3. Qh3 don’t seem to do much except prolong things.
1.Bxh7 Kxh7 2.Qd3+ and Qh3+ and Qg4+ and Qh4+ and Rf3
Bxh7 should do the job
1.Bxh7 Kxh7

1. Bxh7 gxf6 2. Bxg8 Kxg8 3. Qh6 Nc6 4. Rxf6 Ne7 5. Raf1 Ng6 6. h4 Nf4 7. Rf3 d5 8. h5 Qe7 9. Rg3+ Ng6 10. hxg6 Qxf6 11. Qh7+ Kf8 12. g7+ Ke7 13. g8=N+ Ke6 14. Nxf6 b4 15. Nxd7 d4 16. axb4 Ke7 17. 1. Bxh7+ Re8
2. Qg5 gxf6
3. Rxf6
I would open up the king’s position without delay:
1. Bh7 Kh7
2. Qd3 Kh6 (Kh8 or g6 3.Qh3#)
3. Qh3 Kg6 (Kg5 4.Rf5 then 5.Qh5#)
4. Qg4 Kh6 (Kh7 5.Qh5#)
5. Rf3 with mate on the next move.
I think 1. Bxh7 gxf6 2. Qh6 Qf8 3. Qh3 Rg7 4. Be4+ Kg8 5. Rxf6 Qe8 6. Rh6 Kf8 7. Rf1 Rc7 8. Qh4 Rg8 9. Rh7 Qd7 10. Bd5 Ke8 11. Rh8 Qg4 12. Qh7 Re7 13. Rxg8+ Kd7 14. Rxb8 Qe6 15. Bxe6+ Kc7 16. Rxf7 Rxf7 17. Qxf7+ Kxb8 18. Qd7 e4 19. Qd8+ Ka7 20. Qc7+ Ka8 21. Bd5# is the best both white & black can do .
