The International Chess Festival Ridha Belkadhi Memorial 2014 took place from 2nd to 10th May, 2014 at Monastir Center Hotel in Tunisian city of Monastir.

The event is organized by Tunisian Chess Federation in collaboration with the “Le Carre Royal” club and managed by the Tournament Director Mr. Miladi Chahereddine.

The festival consisted of three events: Open A (for players with FIDE rating above 2100), Open B (open to all players, rated below 2100) andWomen’s Open with a 9 round Swiss format and time control of 90 minutes per player plus 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

GM Stanislav Novikov from Russia is clear first in the Master Section with 7/9 points, a full point ahead of the nearest contenders. GM Igor Miladinovic (Serbia) and GM Igor Glek (Germany) share second place with 6/9 points.

WGM Dinara Saduakassova (Kazakhstan) is convincing in the Women’s Open with 8.5/9 points, leaving the runner-up WIM Altanulzii Enkhtuul (Mongolia) a full point behind. WIM Amina Mezioud (Algeria) takes the bronze with 6/9 points.

The first place in Open B is shared by the locals Sahbi Taeib and Houssem Meftahi with 7,5/9 points. Amir Hergli is third with 7/9 points.
