Coming to Lubbock to support her sister Claudia Munoz at the Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls, Faith Munoz was asked to step in at the last minute to even out the field. Even though she was not prepared, she agreed to take on the challenge.
A similar situation happened in the SPNI Blitz Championship. 39 players registered for the event. We once again asked Faith to step in and she once again accepted the challenge with a smile. She fought hard in every game.
Players, parents, and coaches gave her a warm round of applaud. In fact, a number of parents and players approached me about presenting Faith with this deserving award. Congratulations Faith!
