SPICE newest GM!
Congratulations to GM Ashwin Jayaram! After earning the IM title in 2007, Ashwin tried very hard to become a GM. In spite of earning so many norms, he could not meet the rating requirement.
Since coming to Webster University SPICE, Ashwin made significant progress. I am happy to say that he finally did it! His rating went from 2442 in November to over 2500 to officially becoming a GM! Well done Ashwin and congrats!
The big turn around for Ashwin started the 2014 PanAm (photo above) when he went 6-0!
