GM Wesley So arrived in the U.S. last week. He had a very nice event at the Fresno Chess Club in California. Wesley and his Dad will come to Lubbock soon. GM Kuzubov will arrive later today. Most players from the A group will arrive in the next two days. Most players from the B group will arrive in Lubbock on Thursday and Friday.

SPICE Cup Open and SPICE Cup Scholastic Open are once again two of the events which are a part of the SPICE Cup Chess Festival.


Just as last year, the SPICE Cup will be held on campus at Texas Tech University and is co-organized by SPICE, Susan Polgar Foundation, and Texas Tech University.
