Torres Chess and Music Academy Announces Summer Camp
The Torres Chess and Music Academy’s official summary for the 2016 Fremont Summer Chess Camp at Mission San Jose Elementary School in Fremont, California.
Fremont, CA, June 28, 2016 — (PR.com) — The Fremont Summer Chess Camp at Mission San Jose Elementary School has been serving Northern California’s youth chess players every summer since 2008. Taking the lead in chess education, the Fremont Summer Chess Camp has helped to create multiple National Championship school teams as well as scores of individual state and national champion players.
The Fremont Summer Chess Camp begins by breaking children up into several groups based on skill and age. Each day at camp follows this schedule:

9:00 Morning Lesson
9:45 Morning Lab
10:30 Morning Recess
10:45 Midday Lesson
11:30 Midday Lab
12:00 Lunch
12:45 Rated Tournament Round and Analysis
2:15 Afternoon Recess
2:30 Afternoon Lab
3:00 Dismissal

Children will appreciate the opportunity to connect everyday with a coach who has decades of experience motivating young chess players to reach their goals in chess. All camp instructors are superstars in the world of chess education. This year’s staff includes:

Beyond chess, the Torres Chess and Music Academy always plans several special events on site. In the past, this has included fun concerts, performances by magicians and a large cat show. Not to be overlooked is access to art stations, basketball courts and baseball diamonds at supervised recesses. All of these extras help to make the Fremont Summer Chess Camp a great place for children to learn and play.

All chess players ages 4-18 are invited to attend Northern California’s most popular youth chess camp and train with the reigning National Elementary Chess Champions at MSJE. Classes will meet from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday (July 5 – August 4) at Mission San Jose Elementary School in Fremont, California.
