Above are some pictures of beautiful Budapest, Hungary. You can click on the picture to see a larger image. This is the city where my sisters and I were born, raised and made chess history.
Some of you have repeatedly asked me to organize a special chess trip to my hometown Budapest ever since Mr. Korenman and I led a group of people on the (Chess for Peace) tour to Moscow, Russia earlier this year. Well, here it is! Below is the general information about this very special tour.
I will personally host this trip and show you the most spectacular places, rich culture and fabulous chess tradition of Budapest. The full detail will be posted on www.SusanPolgar.com in the next day or so.
Departure: NY JFK-Budapest 6/23/07
Return: Budapest-NY JFK 6/30/07
Non-stop flight from JFK, 3-star hotel at an incredible location right in the heart of Budapest (with air-conditioned room), ground transportation, meals, city tours and very special chess activities, etc.
Upgrade to 4 or 5-star hotel available. Land only package from other countries is also possible.
5 half a day sightseeing trips in Budapest and the vicinity.
Daily 2-4 hours chess lectures, matches with local chess teams, meeting Hungarian chess celebrities (possibly such legendary grandmasters Portisch, Benko and my sister Judit Polgar), simul and much much more…
This trip will be limited to 50 people only and 12 have been booked already before this announcement. Detail information will be posted here and on my website www.SusanPolgar.com soon. You can also contact me directly here.
