GM So continues winning ways in Luneta rapid chess

MANILA, Philippines – The country’s top rated Grandmaster (GM) Wesley So scored his second straight victory in the 2012 Luneta Open Rapid Chess Championship on Saturday in front of the Luneta Lapu-Lapu statue in Rizal Park.

So beat Marc Co in the second round to improve his score to a total of 2 points.

He shares the 1st to 26th places with fellow GMs Oliver Barbosa, Rogelio Antonio Jr., Mark Paragua, John Paul Gomez and Rogelio Barcenilla, International Masters (IM) Barlo Nadera, Emmanuel Senador and Jan Emmanuel Garcia, FIDE Master Roderick Nava, National Masters (NM) Gerry Cabellon and Roland Andador and Cavite Chess Champion Roel Abelgas.
