Library “Petre Dulfu” in Baia Mare hosted a special event with GM Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu on 24th August. Former European Champion played a simultaneous exhibition on 27 boards.
The event was organized by the Library “Petre Dulfu” and Daniel Pop, President of Baia Mare Chess Club.
Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu won 24 games and three of his opponents succeeded in making draws. After the play, Nisipeanu proceeded with holding a Q&A session.
Also present during the event were Levente Vajda and Gergely Szabo. The three Grandmasters are members of the Baia Mare Chess Club and are currently competing in the Romanian Superliga.
