…. Rc8xc4
Rb4xc4 Bb7-a6 wins a piece 0-1
Deflecting Bc4 makes Nc3 hang:
1 … b5!
2. Bxb5 Rxc3
0 – 1
1. … ♜xc4
2. ♖xc4 ♝a6, winning the rook.
1. … R*c4 2. R*c4 Ba6 pinning the Rook, black will win material
1…R:c4 2. R:c4 Ba6 looks like the right idea.
1. .. Rxc4 2. Rxc4 Ba6
1. Rxc4
2. Rxc4 Ba6
In about 10 seconds, Nxc4 looks ok since black can meet Rxc4 with Ba6 pinning the rook to the queen at e2.
1) ……rxc4
2) bxc4, ba6 and black wins the rook
1. … b5!
This pawn is “must take”:
A)
2. Rxb5 Rxc4
Thanks to black’s Na5, that is protected, black is up with piece for pawn.
B)
2. Bxb5 Rxc3
Black is up with piece for pawn.
1. … Nxc4 2. Rxc4 Rxc4 3. Qxc4 Bxf3 4. f3 Ne4 5. Nxe4 Qg5+
Beautiful.
Nxc4 Rxc4 Ba6 does not work because of Rxd8.
But Rxc4 works nicely!
1. Rxc4 Rxc4
2. Ba6 1-0 (Piece up)
This is a bit of a guess.1. … Nxc4 2. Rxc4 Rxc4 3. Qxc4 Bxf3 4. f3 Nh5 5. Nxh5 Qg5+ 6. Kf1 Qxh5
Black is down one knight but white king is completely exposed.
R*c4 R*c4 Ba6
Okay, I may have posted twice. I seem to have problems with the permission real person thing.
This is a bit of a guess. Black starts by reducing white’s strength queen side by an exchange of pieces on c4. 1. … Nxc4 2. Rxc4 Rxc4 3. Qc4 Now black sacrifices his remaining knight to weaken whites kings defenses. 3. … Nh5 4. Nxh5 Qg5+ Black is down material but the white king is exposed with the nearby threat of the queen.
Rxc4!
Presumably Rxc4 when Rxc4 is met by Ba6 winning a piece, Rc8 failing to Qxc8. On the other hand, Nxc4 fails to Rxc4 Ba6 and then Rxc8.
1 rxb 2 ba6 pinning the queen
The idea I can see is the line-up on the a6-f1 diagonal, but the obvious 1…Nxc4, 2.Rxc4 Ba6 fails to Rxc8.
Therefore altering the move order slightly: 1…Rxc4!!, 2.Rxc4 Ba6 wins a piece.
I was a bit hasty last night- it does matter which piece black captures with- I overlooked the effect of 3.Rxc8 if black has played 1. …Nc4. The proper play is 1. …Rxc4:
1. …..Nc4?
2. Rc4 Ba6
3. Rc8! and black can do no better than to recapture at c8 maintaining the original material balance. By taking with the rook at c4, black prevents this:
1. …..Rc4
2. Rc4 Ba6 and now white must lose a piece since there is nothing to capture at c8.
R:c4,R:c4
Ba3 and white lose a piece
