Ouch
Todays youth has no respect for the older generation.
I said it before and I say it again:
Short deserves this humiliation; he is responsible for the break-up and dis-continuation of the traditional World Chess Championship Cycle since 1993.
Thus he has deprived the Chess World of this Main Event every three years.
Congrats Karjakin and best wishes
I am a big Karjakin fan, but it seems to me that Short had better chances in the 2nd game with the white pieces.
Anyway, it’s nice to see the young player leading the match from the very beginning! 🙂

I haven’t said it before, but I will say it again: what a load of bollocks!
Yes, THAT remark was a load of bollocks. However, the games were interesting. Game 1 with a neat tactical finish, game 2 unlucky for Short, who I think stood better for most part of the game.
I like my Bollocks served with a nice red wine.
Short means: not long. 🙂
B============D (Long)
B==D (Short)

Shut the f… up, Nigel!

O.K. Wetangrycat,
but does anybody really need quotes like this one: “Of course I’m not a racist, but I’m certainly right wing, there’s no question about that.” in order to discover that Short is an #$@%*& ?!
This has to be the greatest route since Bobby Fischer swept the candidates tournaments!!!
LOL
Two wins in a row is not so unusual. Specially in rapid. If it’s going to be 8-0 then we can speak about the route.
2-0, two draws, and then Short wins game 5 with a forfeit…Just a guess.
Kasparov was the one who broke it up not Short.
As Kasparov said when asked who would be his opponent for the world title in 1993: “It will be Short, and it will be short.” 🙂
Nigel comes up Short!!! ROTFLMAO
I’m also a huge fan of Karjakin…we also have the same playing style. Extremely talented kid.
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha short is an odious person and deserves every loss. i think it is a total jerk. i hope his legs grow together from the ankle up.
“Kasparov was the one who broke it up not Short.”
No he wasn’t.
Kasparov would have had to defend his title under FIDE, but then this f… Short called him and persuaded him to do it outside of FIDE.
That’s how it was. Short was the guy who initiated this clusterfuck.
Is clusterfuck a noun, adjective, or verb?
Is clusterfucking usable in a gerund phrase?
“Todays youth has no respect for the older generation.”
I have a book with a picture of a smug 12 year Nigel Short beating then British Champion Jon Penrose.
So I laughed my head off when Short got his ass kicked by a 12 year old Chinese girl last year.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

I’m on vacation. Piss off.
And Karjakin got one back, right at his young little nose, and does it bleed! 3-1 and counting. Whitewash? Whoehahahaha!
