Nigel Short thought Wang Hao would be a world champ someday, but I wonder what he ranks Karjakin now after his recent landslide loss.
Karjakin is a formidable player, however, there is a big difference between rapid and “real” chess. I doubt he would have defeated Short by that margin, if at all.
