Oh, what a mistake in my last post! Actually it is a simple mate in 5 for black!

2. Kh4 Re4+
3. Kg5 Kg7!!
4. Rd6 f6+!
5. Rxf6 Qxf6+ checkmate!
3. Bg4 or 3. Qf4 gets checkmated faster!

Let’s see:
1.Qf1+ Kh4 2.Re4+ and now:
1…Qf4 2.Qxf4+ Kh3 3.Qf1#
1…Bg4 2.Rxg4
1…Kg5 2.Kg2! and mate follows. For example:
2…Qb2+ (the same if Qa1+) 3.f6+! Qxf6+ 4.Qxf6#
and any other 2nd moves by black allow 3.f6#
1. Qf1+ Kh4 (only move)
2. Re4+ Kg5
(2. … Qf4 3. Rxf4+ Bg4 (gxf4 not allowed) 4. Rxg4#)

It took it’s time before I saw this move!
Threats immediate f6# or Qf5# or even Rg4#. White can’t handle all 3 mate threats. Giving a check seems enforced now.

This is mate in 5, isn’t it?
