At today’s press conference Serzh Sargsyan summed up his activity over the first year of his tenure in office and responded to more than 60 journalists.
President Serzh Sargsyan visited today Tigran Petrosian Chess House to say his last goodbye to the Executive Secretary of the Armenian Chess Federation, Gagik Hovhannisyan, Honorary Journalist of the Republic of Armenia and a famous chess commentator, together with his family members, colleagues and numerous chess fans.
The Armenian president has also sent a condolence letter to the Hovhannisyans: “With his long activities, Gagik Hovhannisyan contributed to the development of chess in Armenia, educated and raised up generations of journalists and was the tireless annalist of Armenian chess history.
I express my deepest sympathy to the eminent intellectual’s family, relatives, people and colleagues,” reads the president’s condolence letter.
