The 2012 SP World Open for Boys and Girls just started. Players from all over the U.S., and as far as Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Hungary come to Chicago to compete.
Top seed is Senior Master Joshua Colas (2400-NY). More than $100,000 in scholarships to Webster University and chess prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event.
