Grandmaster Yasser Seirawan has just landed at the St. Louis International Airport. He will be the interim Grandmaster in residence for the St. Louis Chess Club as Grandmaster Ben Finegold suddenly resigned a few weeks ago. I have known Yasser for many years. He’s a true gentleman of chess.

I am very happy for GM Seirawan. I had the honor of meeting him a few years ago, and introducing him in an activity in which he was being honored.
He is indeed a true gentleman, a great ambassador for our sport, and a very, very strong GM as well!
The people in St. Louis must be delighted. They could not get a better person.
