The Chess Moves II is about to finish. It has been an incredible experience for everyone! The Chess Moves III trip will take place in January 2008. We will be going to the Caribbean and the tentative instructors are GMs Benjamin, Christiansen and me, etc.
The Budapest trip will take place before that at the end of June 2007. I will let you know all the details as soon as I finalize things with the airlines. I am planning to invite the legendary GMs Benko, Portisch and my sister Judit, etc., to do special lectures and or simuls. I expect it to be a memorable trip to Budapest, the city where I was born, raised and started my chess career.
ohhh im so going to that:)
Hi Susan,
Thanks for the open forum.
Do you have any further comments about the recent Kasparov, Karpov, J. Polgar, Korchnoi event? Did your sister happen to tell you whether it was a nice event?
Thanks.
I did not talk to Judit much because I was on the cruise. Can’t call in or out too easily. However, I got the messages through my Mom. It is tough to play after giving birth less than 2 months ago.
Best wishes,

Hey Susan.
Quick question. What would you suggest for a training program for players rated under 1000? I plan on going to the high school I graduated from a few years ago and helping coach, and I’m wondering what/how you recommend teaching them. Many have been to the state and national high school tournament once, but no real tournament experience beyond that. Thanks.
Lots of tactics and basic endgame exercises. You can use my book World Champion’s Guide to Chess or Chess Tactics for Champions. Let them solve these puzzles.
Good luck!

I hope you will have the Budapest trip in 2008 and beyond because I won’t be able to go in 2007.
