Where do you get these great photos of chess pieces from all over the world?
The pieces and pictures on this blog are amazing! Very amazing! The best on all sites.
hello its saturdays open forum, ive been here for about two hours, and now i can take the opportunity to say hi.
that chess picture was from the middle century right?
i found it amusing the controversy of Raffael, do u think its kasparov´s nickname?
I wanted to ask u how do u create a chessboard with different colors, like grey, purple, rose, etc and how do u insert pieces on them according to your wishes.
i saw a little of the chesspublisher but when i put a pgn game it wont generate the diagram; although thanks a lot for this chessboard idea, its great for someone like u who can transportate allher big games unto databases and then play them on pc.
but i wanted to know on paper how do u create the chessboards, like do u use a word or powerpoint, etc?
sorry for the long question.
How can one order the book of Breaking through, im very interested in buying the book, how safe is it, do u just give the credit number or what, hope u can tell me because i dont trust much buying by internet (never have). but buying your book seems worth the risk,
any thought on this, can one stay at someone´s house at Budapest to safe money instead of paying for the hotels?
i know it takes some of the fun away when u travel on a group but sometimes u have to sacrifize.
great blog by the way, specially the photos and the photso of y and your sisters,
bye.
the other two, the prices to go to hungary you say that on land are different, i was confused about it, does in land mean if u already are in Hungary or europe?
As i was reading your blog, i saw that u said that bobby had been at u place in Budapest, i imagine it was at least some ten years ago, was he a fast player, did he stay long with u? , how were the contacts made, etc you seem to be a very interesting person with lots of stories to count, would uy share more about them with u bloggers.
jb, some people may decide to use their own airline of choice instead of Delta. Some may come from Europe or other countries. It would be easier for them to book their own tickets. That is why I have a land only package for those who can arrange their own tickets.
Best wishes,

Susan, what’s your prediction on Kramnik-Fritz match?
Best wishes from Israel.
Please, will you tell us the solution of the Halloween combination ? Oh, please ! 😉
yevlev,
Kramnik will get his bottom kicked by Fritz! For sure!! 🙂
Susan ,
how do you compare your training as a child , to the way your children are learning …more practical point is any advice for teaching children here in the usa
not just chess but reading writing etc..
Congrats to former US President Gerald Ford (1974-1977) who just passed Ronald Reagan as the oldest living US President of All-Time. 93 years and 121 days and counting.
Susan, if it’s not a secret, reveal what pieces are shown on the photograph. I’ve never seen anything like them.
Many of the girls from the Polgar submitted essays for this blog. Did you recognize a girl for top essay? They all did a great job!
Susan, what do you think is the significance of what happened to Karpov last tournament? A former World Champion getting beat bad by the ladies!
MayanKing, it means nothing. Everyone has bad tournaments. You tend to have more of them as you get up there in age 🙂
Anon: The winner of the girls’ essays will be announced at the coming up national.
I am not sure about the piece. They belong to Judit 🙂
You can’t compare. I was homeschooled. They are not 🙂 I was trained very seriously in chess. I don’t force my children to play chess. They play because they enjoy it.
Kramnik will tie Fritz 3-3 🙂
Best wishes,

Susan,
I came upon this article today about blindfold chess: http://www.chessclub.com/resources/
articles/article11_7.html. I am interested in learning how to play it, because it seems to me that it would help with visualization. However, the article says that it was banned at some time in the USSR, because it might be bad for your health.
With your father and your 2 sisters, you must have put many hours into the study of all aspects of chess. What is your take on the “dangers” (if any) of playing blindfold chess?
why do promote girl so much Mrs. Polgar?
You only have sons and you are in the only nation, Where boys(also men(not the elite)) are always left behind?
I love the fact this site stays so current by being updated more than once per day! Keep up the great work!
