This is an actual game between GM Becerra Rivero and Amador Rodriguez.
Cienfuegos 1996, apparently. Anybody know why this isn’t in the ChessGames.com database? (Or is it really there, and I’m just having a blind spot?)
Looks like Qc5 was a simple double attack on the bishop and on the king (2. Qxd4+ leads to mate).
Black seems to lose an exchange as 1. -, Rxd5 seems forced.
Is there anything better for white or for black after 1. Qc5?
Regards
Jochen
You got it, Jochen. From the diagram Becerra-Rivero played 26.Qc5 and Rodriguez resigned.

Chessgames.com is not a complete database of recent games. It is somewhat selective and the compilers often overlook smaller tournaments. You can send them an e-mail of games that you’d like to include in the database, and, if they fit the criteria, they will probably be posted.
A more complete, albeit somewhat lower quality, databse can be found at Chessbase.com.
