Romanian Team Chess Championships 2011
The Romanian Team Chess Championship – Campionatul National pe Echipe – Superliga Feminina y Masculina – is taking place in Brasov, October 8th to 16th, 2011.
In the open section of the event participate 10 teams with 25 GMs, 15 IMs, and 75 titled players. Top participants are GM Gata Kamsky, GM Jobava Baadur, GM Andrei Volokitin, GM Constantin Lupulescu, GM Viorel Iordachescu, GM Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu, GM Dimitrios Mastrovasilis, etc. After 5 rounds C.S. Luxten Timisoara (with Kamsky on board 1) is leading with 9,0/10 match points, followed by C.S. Studentesc Medicina Timisoara (with Jobava Baadur on board 1) with 7,0/10 match points.
In the women section there are 30 titled players with IM Anna Muzychuk, GM Pia Cramling, IM Corina Peptan, IM Cristina Foisor, IM Salome Melia, WGM Alina L’Ami, etc. as top players. After 5 rounds C.S Luxten Timisoara, C.S. Politehnica Iasi, and C.S. Studentesc Medicina Timisoara are tied with 8,0/10 at the top of the table.
