i have a suggestion:
1. Nd6 Bxe3+
2. Kf1 Bxd7
3. Rxd7 Rf8+
4. Ke1 Bf2+
5. Ke2
and Rb7# next move.
greets, jan
1 Nd6 !
1 Nd6 !
N-d6
I like this one 🙂
Nd6!! Bxd7
Rxd7 (any black move)
Rb7#
or
Nd6!! (any black move)
Rb7+ Bxb7
Rxb7#
Black’s K can be ‘boxed in’ by
1. Nd6 methinks.
if 1…..Bxd7 Rxd7
and black can’t stop Rb7#
(Main idea Rb7+ Bxb7 Rxb7#)
(1. Bxe3+ Kf1 2. Nxh2+ Ke2 doesn’t change things)

1.Nd6! Bxd7 2.Rxd7 ….with unavoidable mate with 3.Rb7 mate.
Kamalakanta
1nd6 wins
Nd6 & after a few moves
white plays Rb7.
1. Nd6 is kaput
black has no solution to Rb7 mate.
Only two moves suggest themselves to me- Rc7 and Nd6. Nd6 looks far more interesting due to the implied mate threat, however:
1. Nd6
Threatens a mate with Rb7 if white exchanges at d7. In fact, I can’t even see a defense to this right now. Black seems to have no choice but to take the first rook and try to muddle things with Be3:
1. …..Bd7 (or Be3 first)
2. Rd7 Be3
3. Kf1
White will lose with Kh1 as black checks with the knight from f2 and then plays Ne4 removing the pesky knight at d6 with a discovered check/attack. Continuing:
3. …..Rf8 (Nh2 is met by Ke2)
4. Ke1
Again, white must be accurate here: [4.Ke2?? Rf2! 5.Kd1 Rd2! 6.Ke1 Rd6-+]. Continuing:
4. …..Bd2 (Bf2 5.Ke2! wins)
5. Kd2 Rf2
6. Ke1 and now black has nothing but sacrificial delaying moves. Mate can’t be prevented.
Knight to d6 wins for White.
After 1. Nd6 Black cannot put off mate forever given by a White rook on the b7-square.
The play could go 1. .. Bxd7 2. Rxd7 Bxe3+ 3. Kf1 Rf8+ 4. Ke1 Bd2+ 5. Kxd2 Rf2+ 6. Ke1 Rf1+ 7. Kxf1 Ne3+ 8. Ke2 any 9. Rb7#
