This is the first ever Polgar Chess, Education and Cultural tour. I am very pleased so far and I hope to be able to continue this for many years to come. I think it is very important to learn and understand about different lifestyles and cultures and what better way to do it than through chess.
This inaugural group has players from Germany, France, Ukraine, Vietnam, Hungary and the United States. Even as a native of Budapest, I learned a lot by spending time with people from all different backgrounds.
Aquaprofit, the sponsor of the Polgar Chess Day spectacle, has expressed interests to sponsor this event again next year. The next Polgar Chess, Education and Cultural tour will be scheduled at the same time so everyone can take advantage of this very special event. Details will be announced soon on this blog.
Dear Susan, I inquired about the tour but was not able to go due to work commitments. I’m very glad that you are planning a similar tour in the future. Henry
I would have been interested but I work at a school and classes in the Philippines start in June. Maybe you can do the next one between in April or May?
THANX! I will attend this tour then after all. I am so glad. This will be memories for a lifetime.
The tour sounded great in the first place, but seeing all the pics you’ve posted, it looks really awesome! Glad you’ll be doing it again, and I hope I’ll be able to join you one of these times.
