Grandmaster Natalia Pogonina joins Chess Elite online community

Chess Elite players from around the world will now be able to test their mettle against one of the planet’s finest strategists.
Pogonina is a Russian player with a FIDE rating of 2501; making her the current 14th best female player the world.
Taking advantage of the new chat feature, opponents will be able to swap tips and tricks with her in-game.
“As part of my activities aimed at promoting chess in the world, I am glad to cooperate with 99Games,” Pogonina said.
“Our collaboration in the field of enhancing the game further should be beneficial for all Chess Elite players.”
Group work
Features of Chess Elite include push notifications for asynchronous play, Elo rating systems for improved matchmaking, unlimited simultaneous games, and an analysis mode for advanced strategising.
There are also Chess Elite Clubs that categorise players based on Elo ratings, while Smart Groups include Most Active Players, Most Promising Players and Past Opponents.
Chess Elite is available now on the App Store for £2.39 / $3.99 / €2.99. There’s a Lite version too.

She’s hot indeed, as is her chess! She caught my eye when she played a strategical game in the syle of Karpov. She applied preasure to a crummy pawn structure, restrained all counter play and slowly strangled her opponent! This takes skill! She seems a lovely girl with a good attitude. If she wants to promote chess to a wider audience (like Susan), that’s a good thing.
