Scholastic sections are 5-Round Swiss system game/30 minutes. Open section is 4-round Swiss system game/45 minutes.
October rating supplement will be used

K-2 Primary Section: For any player in kindergarten to 2nd grade.
K-4 Section: For any player in 3rd to 4th grade. Move-up allowed.
K-6 Section: For any player in 5th to 6th grade. Move-up allowed.

Open Section: Open to anyone, children or adults who choose to play. Cash Prizes based on number of entries. 1st = 40% of entry fees. 2nd = 20% 3rd = 10%.

This is a rated tournament and you must belong to the United Stated Chess Federation (USCF) to participate. USCF Membership is available on-line @ www.uschess.org. Please make sure to register on-line as member of USCF prior to the tournament. We do not process on-site USCF membership.

Trophies awarded to top 5 players in K-2, K-4, and K-6 sections. Trophies to top 3 teams/schools in each section as well (top 4 scores for each team counts regardless of numbers of participants from a particular team or school). Players with positive score (3 points or better) but do not trophy, will receive a medal.

Entry Fee for scholastic sections is $10.00. Entry fee for Open section is $15.00. Registration on-site from 8:00-9:30 a.m. Entries after 9:30 a.m. may receive a 1st round bye. Sections will be combined in case of low turn-out in any one section. Less than 10 players in a section will constitute low turnout except open section.

Opening ceremony: 9:30-10:00 AM. Round times: 10:00 AM and succeeding rounds ASAP, with a lunch break. Awards ceremony ASAP. Open Section: Round times: 10:00AM, 12:00PM, 2:00PM, and 4:00PM.
