Over 800 athletes join in National Youth Chess Championship 2015
The General Directorate of Sport in collaboration with Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Lam Dong province today held an opening ceremony of the 2015 National Youth Chess Championship in Da Lat city.
The 2015 National Youth Chess Championship will run until July 7, drawing the participation of over 812 chess players aged 5- 20 from 34 delegations of provinces and cities nationwide.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City delegation had 158 participants. Lam Dong chess delegation took part in the championship with 93 athletes.
Attending in this year’s chess championship was Nguyen Anh Khoi, former world U12 championship.
Through the contest, the organization board will select best chess players to join in the 2016 International Youth Chess Championship.
