Standings after 10 rounds:

Overall Olympiad:

3
Russia RUS 26.5
4
Czech Republic CZE 26.5
5
France FRA 26.0
6
USA USA 25.5

The US received a miracle gift today. After GM Onischuk drew his game, it looked like Kamsky, Nakamura and Ibragimob were all losing badly. Nakamura did a Houdini and held on for a draw. Ibragimov pulled off an even bigger miracle. His opponent went from a completely winning position to losing in a flash second. Sometimes a lucky round like this can turn things around. Let’s hope the US team can pull off more miracles in the last 3 rounds.

Women’s Olympiad:

1 Ukraine UKR 23.0
2
Russia RUS 22.5
3
China CHN 20.5

USA USA 19.0
9
Armenia ARM 19.0
10

The women’s team still has chances for the Bronze. But they need some big wins in the next 3 rounds. I hope that they can do it!
