The 8th FIDE World Online Women Blitz Qualifier was held on Thursday, September 24th, on the official FIDE Online platform.
WGM Olga Sokorova (CZE) 2207 and WGM/ IM Deimante Daulyte (LTU) 2259 tied for the first place at 5 points each.
FM/WIM Marina Brunello (ITA) 2325, WIM Maria Florencia Fernández (ARG) 2179 and WFM/AIM Aygun Aliyeva (AZE) 1973 also qualified for the Semifinal after finishing the 8th Qualifier at 4.5 points each.
The final 3 spots were taken by AGM Sissel Janneth Stava (NOR) 1987, WFM Mishell Ruiz (ECU) 1982 and Mireya Represa Perez (ESP) 1765 who scored 4 points.
The semifinal tournament will be held on October 29th, 2015 at 13:00 GMT/UTC time. FIDE reserves the right to alter date and time of semifinal and final tournament. It shall be a Swiss tournament of 11 rounds.
The competition takes place on the official FIDE Arena Online platform. FIDE Online uses AceGuard, anti-cheating and security software of new generation. Based on advanced behavioral analysis and the activities of the players, AceGuard indicates deviations from proper procedures of play.
A rich prize fund of 9000 USD will be awarded in the final tournament. Make sure to read the FULL Regulations.
