Landespresseball unter dem Motto „Rochade in Schwarzweiß“
Sonntag, 6. April 2008
Dear Susan,
Please accept my congratulation, I hope you will be convenient and successful.

Wow! This is a great honor for the US as well. Congratulations!
Congratualtions GM Polgar!
Many westerners such as myself are glad you are representing us!
Thank you!
Duh, I am supposed to say something hateful against foreigners, but am too stupid to come up with an original phrase. Duh.
Good! She can represent the German and FIDE. She can go back to Hungary to as well. We don’t need stupid foreigners running the USCF. The USCF is fine and we don’t need to change a thing. We fully support the recall petition by Donna Alarie, Lafferty and the board. We need to get rid of them and bring in true Americans like Harry Payne, Donna Alarie and Brian Mottershead.
Case in point. Didn’t I tell you Lafferty would show up. I must be a prophet!
Laugherty is bored with pulling the wings off flies. His mental condition forces him to post in here.
Its a shame really for such an esteemed judge to vent his tensions in here.
For God sake, this is a famiy blog! That damn degenerate, Laugherty!
Oh you mod guys, I love your sense of humor! Good save! ;D
Duh.
2 + 3 = pie
Duh.

Duh!
Aw, come back Brian and play with me!
Coward.
I really like to know (1) why these type of events are called “Olympiads”? (2) what makes them any more significant that other typr of tournaments? (3) in terms of significane, would a chess olympiad be any more significant than the Linares or Wick Anzhee(?) tournaments?
Thank you very much, Susan.
Amir
good for chess, good for you, good for USA.
“Olympiads” are team events where teams from many countries participate. The other events you mentioned are individual events
The note quoted refers to a journalist’s ball (a society event with music, and probably, dance). Entry fee with seats: 300 Euros :-))
