What happened to Nakamura’s rating?
whats the highest rating ever
Congrats to the young man, great job for a teenager, gunna be tough to break Kasparov age record for World Champion though.
I don’t think Caarlsen will Bother with the Fide WCC…..why should he? Hope he plays great matches and tournaments though…at 19….he no longer has anything to prove.
oh, good point anon, fide has been sleeping on the job! vishy has title though and he may desire a shot at that in a few years, with garry around hes got good chances of course. The human race evolves so he will feel pressure from this natural order in terms of “something to prove”, so in a sense he has to play, like it or not!?
Ignore World Championship? LOL
EVERY player wants to play a world championship match, and win it.
However not all are willing to qualify for it. They think they should get a chance just like that. Things don’t work this way.
What’s happening to Radjabov? When he won against Kasparov in Linares 2003 everyone thought he would be where Carlsen is now.
Don’t know what happend to him but I think he got an idea that after he won one game against Kasparov he could compete or even beat computers. He than went to play against Junior (3rd rated engine at the time) installed on just 4 parallel processors and (of course) lost mini match like a baby.
