The 17th International Neckar Open 2013 will take place from March 28th to April 1st at the Public Hall and the Gymnasium in the city of Deizisau, Germany.

The event will have three tournaments that will be played simultaneously. Only the Open A will be FIDE rated, the B and C open will be rated by the DWZ (German Chess Federation).

The tournaments will be 9 rounds Swiss opens with 2h for 40 moves + 0,5h for the rest of the game.

The total prize fund will amount to 22 600 Euros. The main tournament will split 12 050 Euros among the best players: 1st place – 3 000 Euros; 2nd place – 2 000 Euros; 3rd place – 1 500 Euros; 4th place – 1 000 Euros.

German Nr 1 player Arkadij Naiditsch and French super-GM Etienne Bacrot have confirmed their participation.
