The CEZ Chess Trophy 2007 took place from August 30 to September 2nd in Prague (Czech Republic). It was organized by civic association Prague Chess Society. It took place in the Best Western Kampa Hotel. The format is 6 game match in rapid and 4 in Fischer Random.
David Navara crushed Nigel Short by the score of 4.5 to 1.5 in rapid and 2.5 to 1.5 in Fischer Random chess at the 2007 CEZ Chess Trophy event.
Jan Timman defeated Czech’s top female player Jana Jackova 5.5 to 0.5 in rapid. However, the interesting part is Jackova tied Timman 2-2 in Fischer Random chess.
