Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Karpov looks like he can’t stand toe-to-toe with any top tier players. I don’t know why–isn’t he considered an intuitive player? I always thought they held their strength longer than the calculators. Like Smyslov was an intuitive, and he was a Candidate at 62.
I cannot recall then Karpov came last in the tournament!
Its looks absolutely terrible!!
Karpov is not doing himself a favor by this.
It’s all too clear that without a first-class computer-assisted opening preparation you won’t win anything nowadays…
Nakamura has won on tie-break.Chessdom.
